Producer of handmade, premium ice cream in the heart of Gloucestershire. Cherry Moo takes a full on artisan approach where ice cream is concerned, and it certainly shines throughout each carefully thought out recipe. Fresh, pasteurised double cream is the foundation of every creation. It’s sourced locally from “Cotteswold Dairy” and from the wonderful green pastures of the Welsh valleys; from gorgeous, free grazing, Welsh cows -“Totally Welsh”.

Packaging:
Each Cherry Moo Ice Cream tub is made using recyclable paper pots and plastic lids, which can be put into your household recycling bin (check that your local household waste provider accepts them). At markets and events, recyclable pots and spoons are provided for customers. Take home tubs are compostable, biodegradable, recyclable and re-usable.
Ingredients:
Cherry Moo Ice Cream is passionate about using local ingredients in their products, and supporting other local businesses. The milk and cream that goes into each tub of ice cream comes from Cotteswold Dairy and Totally Welsh. Fruit is sourced locally from Hereford (British Frozen Fruit). Cherry Moo’s “Blackcurrant & Cream” won the highly coveted 3 Star Great Taste Award Using their handpicked blackcurrants. The strawberries and raspberries are also used to produce the award winners “Strawberry” and “White Chocolate & Raspberry”. Both winning one stars, respectively.
Rum is produced less than 1 mile away at “The Boutique Distillery”, who pride themselves on producing their rum with extremely high sustainable procedures. This includes crafting their own copper stills from upcycled junk, solar panelled electricity and locally sourced ingredients.
Cherry moo also uses an award-winning UK company who produce their own vanilla extracts and ethically sourced vanilla beans.
Belgian chocolate is the staple behind many chocolate based ice creams. Callebaut chocolate is renowned worldwide and they proudly source 100% sustainable cocoa. With every pack purchased, a portion goes towards funding the implementation of the productivity and community development activities of the Cocoa Horizons Foundation.
Cherry Moo makes their own honeycomb, salted caramel, fruit compotes, brownies, pralines, cookie doughs, curds, pastries, mincemeats and brittles. It’s also completely unprocessed and free from artificial colour, preservatives and stabilisers.
Collaborations are also made using local businesses such as Humblecrumb Bakery- making “Mookies” (ice cream sandwiches).
Logistics:
Cherry Moo Ice Cream makes sure to consolidate their delivery routes in the most efficient way, to keep their carbon footprint down. They avoid unnecessary travel where possible, and assist customers who wish to collect multiple orders in one go, to do so in one collection.
